Prominent Syrian singer Asalah Nasri has openly admitted that she hates Egyptian singer Shireen Abd Al Wahab. She added that this fact does not stop her from considering Shireen a talented singer and that she enjoys listening to her songs.
Asalah made her revelation on the weekly entertainment program “Ibshir”, which is aired on the satellite channel MBC and hosted by Nishan. The singer stressed that Shireen is one of her most hated enemies, despite the fact that is one of the best singers. Asalah said that she and Shireen used to exchange greetings very formally, then they became more open about their feelings towards one another and stopped greeting each other when they ran into one another in public.
Asalah stated that she prefers not to say hello to Shireen when she saw her so as not to feel like a hypocrite. Again Asalah said that she cannot hate Shireen’s voice despite the fact that if she does not like a certain singer on personal level she refuses to listen to his/her music.
