Prominent Syrian actor Abbas Al Nouri is preparing to present the Arab version of the popular American show “A Moment of Truth”. The American version has achieved great popularity in the Arab world. The show is not based on what you know, but rather on being completely honest and contestants have a chance to win the grand prize of half a million dollars.
The idea of the program is to place contestants on a lie detector and ask them a number of questions which they have to answer either true or false. If the contestant gives an untruthful answer then he/she is immediately eliminated.
The nature of the questions sometimes become very personal and go into hidden secret that may be revealed for the first time on public television. Contestants are put under the spotlight and they either answer truthfully to the questions or win the amount of money they reached or they can sacrifice all the money in order not to have their secrets revealed.
Abbas did not reveal what satellite channel will air the program, and stated that all the details will be known in the near future.
