Jazeera Airways leads Kuwaiti airlines to popular winter destinations in January 2011

Award winning airline Jazeera Airways today issued its operational performance report for the month of January 2011, which showed that it had a continued to lead in market share over other Kuwaiti airlines on popular winter routes that were served in January 2011.
The today-issued report is based on data from Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA). The report does not include the Kuwait-Jeddah and Kuwait-Riyadh routes, where the airline has lower seat-allocation restrictions compared to other Kuwaiti airlines.
Jazeera Airways grabbed a 28% market share on the Kuwait-Beirut route, a 35% market share on the Kuwait-Amman route, a 46% market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, a 40% market share on the Kuwait-Damascus route.
The report also showed that Jazeera Airways was the largest Kuwaiti operator on business and weekend destinations as well, capturing a 14% market share on the Kuwait-Dubai route, and 19% market share on the Kuwait-Bahrain route.
The report also mentioned that Jazeera Airways operated the month with an on-time performance of 93%, making it one of the most punctual airlines in the Middle East.
