The Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry has forwarded a proposal to King Abdullah, requesting approval for establishing the first industrial city in Taif on an area of some 11 million square meters. According to Arab News , the Ministry of Rural and Municipal Affairs approved the site in north of Taif for the project three years ago.
