A major UK newspaper made a mistake on Saturday when reporting an attack on a German police officer by a 15-year-old Moroccan-German girl.
In an article claiming to contain "shocking" footage of the 15-year-old stabbing the officer on Friday, The Sun posted a video of an attack in the West Bank from last year instead.
The Sun's article, titled "Shocking Moment ISIS Teen Girl Stabs German Officer," contained a clip of a Palestinian woman stabbing an Israeli policeman near a Jerusalem checkpoint in November. The Sun appears to have made the mistake because a Breitbart article compared similarities between the two attacks. Both attacks involved a Muslim woman fishing a knife out of her purse to stab a policeman. The Sun has since deleted the article.
Editors at The Sun appear to be working too quickly to catch such mistakes before they get published. The same article also contained a rather glaring typo in the headline:
