Fresh from the sell out of their fourth project, leading Real Estate Development Company, Trident International Holdings (TIH) has awarded the construction of their second luxurious freehold residential project, The Marinascape, to multinational engineering and construction conglomerate, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Limited.
Exchanging contracts at a brief signing ceremony, Mr. A. S. Jamal, Chairman, Trident International Holdings said, “L&T is undoubtedly Asia’s foremost engineering company with a strong base in the Middle East. With an unmatched quality track record in construction work in the region as well as across the globe and by successfully partnering us in our first project, L&T was our obvious choice.” Commenting further, Mr. Sadrudin Ali, Managing Director, Trident International Holdings said, “All our project partners are from amongst the very best in the world and L&T is no exception to the list.”
L&T takes over from Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH, the Germany based world leader in advanced foundation technology, who have been working on the earth work, including piling and foundation of the project since early this year. Their cutter and secant pile walls technology which revolutionized construction in the UAE helped construct previously inconceivable deep basements.
Commenting on the win, Mr. K.P. Raghavan, Vice President & Head – Buildings and Factories, L&T said, “We are delighted to be a part of The Marinascape. Being awarded the second project from Trident is indeed an honour for us, as much as it would be a challenge to create new benchmarks set by TIH. We look forward to constructing what will undoubtedly be one of the most sought luxury living proposition within Dubai Marina.”
The Marinascape is prominently located at the edge of the man-made Dubai Marina. It consists of two grand residential towers - the 35 storey Oceanic and the 25 storey Avant – cumulatively comprising of over 200, condominiums and villa complexes. The project also comprises of several 4-bedroom Marina Homes with roof top landscaped terraces and never before seen lifestyle concepts such as the ‘Infinity Pool’, ‘3G Super Wired Residences’ and a host of other luxurious amenities.
Launched in July 2004, both the towers of Marinascape were sold out in just three months of its launch. An epitome of opulent living, the project is scheduled for completion by the end of year 2006.
