Mindware, a leading IT distributor in the Middle East, has announced its aims to increase Dell’s share in the Saudi Arabian computer market by 10 per cent to reach 35 per cent in 2009. The announcement was made during an awards ceremony held recently in Lebanon, to recognize the distributor’s Dell partners in KSA, for their support and efforts that contributed to the business success in 2008. The event, which was attended by Mindware’s top Saudi-based partners, also witnessed the launch of Dell’s new releases - from desktops to laptops to servers, along with new channel programs for the benefit of the partners.
Dell has been a part of Mindware’s portfolio since 2004, which marked the start of the leading manufacturer’s steady rise in the Kingdom, including significant annual increase in the demand for Dell. In line with this, Mindware has been recently awarded rights to distribute Dell desktops, laptops and accessories in the whole of the GCC. Underlining the distributor’s longstanding association with Dell, the global IT giant recently also awarded the distributor with the 'Best Desktop Partner Award EM-EMEA' award, which recognised Mindware’s unparalleled professionalism and dedication in promoting the brand across the region.
“We have been given the outstanding opportunity to work with organisations with the highest level of professionalism and expertise, which has been driving our continuous success in the highly dynamic Saudi Arabian computer market,” said Wael Waheed, Business Unit Manager - DELL, Mindware. “With the support of our Saudi network, comprising of highly competent and experienced channel partners, we are positive that we will be able to hit our target for Dell in the KSA market. We believe that our strong long standing relationship with a globally renowned company such as Dell is in itself a testament to our capacity as a distributor, and we are aiming to further strengthen our collaboration with them in the future.”
An important driver of Mindware’s success in the Kingdom is its impressive network of local channel partners, for whom the distributor provides a wide selection of value-added distribution (VAD) services. With enhancing logistics, promptness and reliability as the primary goal, Mindware's expanded suite of VAD services that it offers to Saudi-based partners include networked services such as pre-sales consultancy, marketing, service implementation and after-sales support. In addition, the distributor has also recently invested in a state-of-the-art office in Riyadh, which serves as a domestic hub for its KSA operations.
“Our basic strategy is to make sure that our regional channel partner network has the capacity and knowledge to efficiently communicate the excellent benefits of Dell products to its consumers, which is why we are continuously developing more programs to provide them with the necessary technical support and training. We are looking forward to expanding our operations in the Kingdom, where our focus will be to continuously bolster market activity for Dell products,” concluded Waheed.
