The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week peaked at Dhs2.15 billions, of which sales exceeded Dhs545 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs1607.02 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 70 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Al Safouh First that was sold for Dhs126 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Garhoud acquired for the sum of Dhs100 million and another in Marsa Dubai for Dhs44 million.
The Emirates Hills First area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 36 transactions. Al Barsha Third followed it with 4 sales.
During the period, Al Safouh First recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs126 million, followed by the Al Garhoud area, Dhs100 million, and Emirates Hills First area, Dhs80.68 million.
The biggest area sold was the 1005592.31 sq ft in the Al Safouh First area, which went for Dhs126 million. A 603758 sq ft plot in the Al Lusaily Area was acquired for Dhs6 million, while 320764.97 sq ft of Marsa Dubai was disposed of for Dhs27 million.
During the period under review 89 mortgages worth Dhs1582.34 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs600 million for an area at Trade Center First. There was another for Dhs547.62 million on an area in Marsa Dubai.
