The Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA) has issued a second consultation paper, on the further work undertaken to develop a new regulatory and supervisory framework for investment business licensees.
The proposed framework will comprise Volume 4 of the BMA Rulebook, which the BMA has been progressively issuing since 2004. The BMA is intending to issue Volume 4 in two stages, the first in April 2006, with the remainder to follow later in 2006. The new investment business license categories created by Volume 4 will start to be issued from April 2006 onwards.
