Huawei draws a smile on the faces of orphans

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider has donated with basic supplies for babies' to one of Egypt’s largest non-government organizations ‘Dar el Orman’ in an effort to support, improve the conditions and raise the spirits of more than 1000 Egyptian orphans. This donation came in an aim to support the Egyptian society by providing help to youth who have been denied from leading a stable life in normal homes.

Huawei’s donation was directed to the reputable Dar el Orman, supporting more than 400 small NGOs, with over 10 branches in Egypt, to ensure that the donations will truly reach those in need. Huawei’s donation by will be used to provide essential necessities such as food, milk and diapers ensuring  a healthy growth for orphans. The money will be also used to equip the orphanages with important and much needed appliances such as computers, air conditioners.

Mr. Zou Zhilei, Huawei’s North Africa President, said: “Huawei is both proud and happy to be a part of enhancing the living standards of orphans in Egypt and therefore provide support to the Egyptian society. At Huawei, being socially responsible is amongst the top priorities for the upcoming period, and we believe that supporting the youth in need is a good place to start.”

Huawei planned a kids day conjointly with Dar el Orman, where representatives of the Chinese Embassy, Huawei Egypt country manager Mr. Rao Xiaobo, Mr. Mamdouh Shabaan Dar Elorman General manager and Huawei staff shared fun moments with the children. During this celebration, Huawei also presented a cheque to the organization to support the orphans.

Huawei has always focused on enhancing telecommunication solutions around the world, and now Huawei is determined to enhance communication with those in need as well.
