Greater Amman Municipality will finalize the scrapping and paving works in Abdullah Ghousheh Street which starts from the traffic lights and ends up in the tunnel, with the aim of adjusting the street levels, and ensure proper drainage flow or rain water in proper engineering methods.

Director of Road Maintenance Department, Engineer Ahmad Khreisat, pointed out that GAM, and for the first time, is using electronic sensors in paving some of the Capital's streets, a method requiring blocking the street for a while.

He further clarified that because of the complete blocking, GAM, in cooperation with Traffic Department, has set up alternative ways, adding that the nature and circumstances of pavement mechanism require the continuity of work.

The pavement works, which started last Friday, came to complete GAM works executed before Ramadan by using the basalt mix and the electronic sensors from Jaber Complex to the traffic lights, as they suspended work during the Holy Month to avoid traffic jams.
