Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts appoints Simon Casson as Regional Vice President for MENA region

Four Seasons Hotel Doha is delighted to announce that General Manager Simon Casson has been appointed Regional Vice President. Casson will continue as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Doha and be based at the property, and will additionally oversee Four Seasons Hotels in Amman, Jordan; Damascus, Syria; Beirut, Lebanon; and Cairo at the First Residence, Egypt, as well as the new Four Seasons Hotel Doha at the Pearl, due to open its doors in 2014.

Casson is a 22-year veteran of Four Seasons, with a career that has seen him spend time in North America, Europe and the past seven years in Doha, Qatar, where he has established the Hotel as a strong market leader and the benchmark for intuitive, personalised service and luxury in the city.

Commenting on his promotion Casson said: “Four Seasons as a company truly focuses on its people and my promotion is testament to this philosophy of internal development, even at the senior level.” 

He added: “I am excited to be able to lend strategic support to the excellent general managers and teams in the hotels within my region. All of them are recognised as leaders in their respective markets and it will be an honour for me to be associated with them.  The Middle East is of immense importance to our company’s growth plans over the coming years and I am delighted to be able to play a part in shaping that future.”

With several new hotels under development in Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Four Seasons is committed to extending its brand presence in the Middle East. Casson’s focus in the months to come will be on providing guidance to the hotels in his region and offering strategic support on further consolidating their presence in individual markets.
