First PlayStation certified Android phone launched exclusively at Jumbo stores

Jumbo is giving gaming enthusiasts a reason to smile with the arrival of the new Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, the world’s first Sony Playstation certified Android smartphone. The full-featured phone is built on the gaming expertise of Sony Computer Entertainment and includes real console controls with dedicated gaming keys, shoulder buttons and an analogue touch joystick.

The Xperia PLAY, which is powered by Android (Gingerbread), the fastest Android version to date, comes with pre-installed games and access to more than 150,000 applications. Other features of the phone include a refreshed user interface, 5 mega pixel camera and a 4.0” LED Backlit Capacitive Touchscreen.

Xperia PLAY is currently available exclusively at Jumbo stores in Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, Mirdiff City Centre, Dubai Mall and other select Jumbo outlets across the UAE. The starting price for the phone is AED 2,999.
