First Gulf Bank (FGB) announced that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the first and only Ferrari theme park in the world, to become the official bank to offer banking services at the theme park.

As part of First Gulf Bank's commitment to adopt best practices that contribute to the enrichment of human and social values in a manner that serves the economy and its development at the same time; FGB has chosen to sponsor the Junior GT ride, a part of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi driving school where children receive their first training on road safety and discipline. Junior GT is aimed at inspiring and educating youngsters that driving can be fun yet ultimately safe.

“First Gulf Bank is pleased to announce this partnership and become the official bank at the UAE’s most popular leisure attraction,” said Andre Sayegh, Chief Executive Officer, First Gulf Bank. “This partnership demonstrates the bank’s commitment to provide the best services to our customers and be accessible wherever they are. Through this association, two of the UAE’s biggest entities - FGB and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi - join hands to bring the best offerings to the UAE community.”

As part of this partnership, First Gulf Bank also offers Platinum credit card holders an exclusive complimentary premium upgrade at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi all year round, when buying general admission tickets.

Sayegh added: “As part of our CSR initiatives, FGB has chosen to sponsor the Junior GT, which is consistent with the bank's strategy for sustainable development of society and to play a key role in the economic growth and development, which is directly reflected on a social level.”

At Junior GT, young drivers start in a classroom where they watch an educational film on the essential safety aspects of driving so they can feel secure once they get on the road. Once on the road, the new drivers are given the opportunity to experience real driving conditions for the first time at a reduced and safe speed, in a Ferrari 430 GT Spider, their very first Ferrari. They get to learn how to navigate stoplights, road signs like a professional.

Claus Frimand, General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, said: “We are delighted to partner with First Gulf Bank, to offer the very best of services to our guests. We are confident that this is only a start to a long term fruitful relationship which we hope will yield more and more beneficial programs for customers and park guests.”

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is the world’s largest indoor theme park and home to the world’s fastest rollercoaster offering more than 20 rides and attractions, each designed to bring life to a different part of the Ferrari story. It is an intense multi-sensory experience and a must-visit for enthusiasts, fans and families alike.
