Etihad appoints new Morocco Country Manager

Etihad has appointed Moulay Hicham El Kadiri Boutchich as the airline’s new Country Manager for Morocco Moulay Hicham has 13 years of aviation experience and has been a manager at Etihad Airways since 2008. 

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Moulay Hicham has a strong understanding of the aviation industry, particularly in the commercial sector, and we believe he is the perfect candidate to lead Etihad’s Moroccan team and accelerate the success of our operations in the country.” 

Prior to joining Etihad, Moulay Hicham worked in various roles at Air France, Swissair/Sabena, Swiss International Airlines, British Airways and Brussels Airlines.

He was also Sales Manager for Jet4you Tui Group Company. 

Etihad launched its services to Casablanca in 2006, and operates now four flights per week. 

The airline extended its codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc in September 2010, allowing Etihad passengers to travel from Casablanca to Agadir, Laayoune, Fez and Marrakech, and Nouakchott in Mauritania and Dakar in Senegal.
