According to the London daily Elaph, the famous Egyptian actress Yusra has appeared in another Ramadan television drama series, now a yearly tradition.
Yusra plays the role of a journalist who fights against child labor in the drama series “Fe Aydi Aminah” (In Safe Hands).
She stars alongside Egyptian actor Hisham Salim, the two previously appeared in several drama series together.
Salim plays Yusra’s boss, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper.
Critics have praised Yusra’s ability to give a meaningful and powerful acting performance.
Yusra signed another contract with “Al Adel Group” Production Company to take a leading role in a new Egyptian drama series.
Yusra is one of the toughest competitors amongst her colleagues during the month of Ramadan.
This year’s Ramadan drama series were less predictable than years past, like the successful Ramadan programs aired in the late 1990’s. Then the Egyptian drama series dominated the scene, but at the turn of the century the introduction of Arab satellite channels brought great competition between Egyptian, Syrian and Khaliji drama series.
As for this Ramadan season it is still too early to decide which drams series are most successful. The number of drama series had exceeded the time viewers have to watch them, yet well-known actors have high hopes for their Ramadan projects.
