Yousef Shahin in Paris for Treatment

The health of the renowned Egyptian film director Yousef Shahin has stabilized. Shahin left Cairo for Paris last week seeking treatment after he had a heart attack while celebrating his 75th birthday anniversary. 

Shahin underwent many medical examinations and laboratory tests in Paris and his doctors have ruled out the need of the famous artist to have heart surgery. 

The Egyptian film director left the hospital after his condition improved to stay in a hotel in the center of Paris to be near his doctors. Meanwhile, Shahin has not forgotten his work; he decided to complete his film “Silence, we are going to film!” 

Yousef Shahin will stay in Paris for at least one month during which time his health will be monitored and he will complete the film he intends to submit to the next Cannes Film Festival. The festival jury will be headed by the American star, Judy Foster.
