Prominent Egyptian comedian-actor Younis Shalabi’s health condition is gradually improving after an open heart surgery he underwent recently. The actor is showing positive signs of improvements and has left the ICU room at the Prince Sultan Abdul Aziz Military Hospital in Riyadh.

Doctors supervising the actor’s condition, revealed that numerous tests are being done to ensure a fast recovery for the actor. Doctors added that the actor will remain under treatment and strict supervision to make sure that nothing goes wrong.

The surgical operation, which was marked with success, was financed by the Saudi government and specifically by Prince Abdul Aziz, who is also ruler of Riyadh. The operation was done by one of Saudi Arabia’s most qualified heart surgeons. It was revealed that large crowds of Egyptians living in Saudi Arabia have visited the actor and wished him a fast recovery.

Recently, Shalabi experienced a severe brain seizure that led to his immediate admittance into ICU. The actor was placed under strict observation until he regained his consciousness.

Rumors had it that Younis had the stroke after being in a big argument with one of his friends, which he immediately denied, stressing that it was caused due to his carelessness. The actor added that he had failed to follow strict doctor orders and take his medications for diabetes, and thanked God that he had survived such a critical period.

Shalabi stressed that from now on he undergo intensive physical therapy to ensure that he returns to his normal health condition especially since he is having difficulty with his speech and sight as a result of the stroke. Shalabi had suffered from a critical health condition last year after a brain seizure which he did not fully recover from and still calls for daily physical therapy. –Albawaba.com
