They call her a sex kitten for a reason, and now Lebanese star Maya Diab has come out with her most shocking confession yet.
The controversial singer made the confession on the show “Howa Wa Hiya Wal Jareea'” (Him, Her and The Daring), hosted by the equally controversial Egyptian director Enas Al Dughaidi.
In the interview, Maya admitted that she was sexually active for two years with her hubby before they got hitched. Are we really surprised though?
This comes as a sign of huge success for Enas, as she managed to do what other famous hosts failed to, and that's getting Maya to spill the beans on her most intimate life details.
Maya said that the problem with Arab society is that it considers everything a taboo and ends up doing things in secret. She added that a premarital relationship between a man and woman is considered “very normal” in the West. Yes, in the West, Maya!
Critics hit Maya hard as they considered her confession as encouragement of adultery. Nonetheless, Maya stressed that all she's calling for is for a man and woman to live together before they're married to see if they're compatible or not!
And Surprise, surprise; Enas strongly supported Maya's advice, denying that such a relationship is considered as adultery.
Maya was upfront and said that she refuses to live a lie, adding that even her hubby had previously said in interviews that they'd lived together before tying the knot.
Maya denied having any contact with the Muslim Brotherhood or getting their assistance in entering Egypt, saying: “How can I be in contact with the Brotherhood when I dress and act the way I do?” She makes a valid point peeps!
