Egyptian actor Yehya Al Fakhrani, known for playing roles rich with internal conflicts, returns to Ramadan’s screen to search for the roots of a man whose family has a complicated history.

“The series tackles the issue of searching for roots and how a very rich and prominent businessman discovers his family history through a trip he documents in a big folder. The folder tells future generations the story of a self-made man from a deep-rooted family who achieves success with his blood, tears and smile,” Fakhrani told the UAE daily Al Bayan.

The actor added, “An astonishing surprise shakes the man violently - while he is searching for his roots he discovers that his family, which is supposed to be an example for the generations to come, does not deserve respect. He finds himself living in a false world and so his life is turned upside down.”

“The series explains the dimensions of another problem overlooked by many, which is the homeless children and orphans who do not receive care from the government. These people are spurred to commit crimes to take revenge on society, which ignores them. This will be depicted through the hero Gaber Maamoun Nassar,” said series writer Magdi Saber.

The writer added: “The director, Mohammed Fadhel, was keen to conclude the series with a song in the last episode. Gaber and the children will sing together for hope and the future as if they could establish, in their simple words, a constitution which should serve as a base for avoiding mistakes in raising our children.”

Costarring in the series, which was originally named Justice Has Many Faces, are Dalal Abdel Aziz and her daughter Dunia Samir Ghanem, Amina Risq, Ragaa Al Giddawi, Hasan Abdel Hamid, Gamal Ismael, Hussein Al Imaam, Ahmed Zaher and Aidah Riyadh – Albawaba.com
