Arabia's new sweetheart, Yacoub Shaheen, recently revealed the qualities his dream woman would possess.
The Palestinian heartthrob said in a recent interview that his future wife would be just like his... mama! Not because he's a mummy's boy, but he said it's because his mother is a "fighter," and who wouldn't love such a quality in a woman (or man)?
Yacoub, who won the latest season of Arab Idol last month, said that "I want to see Umm Yacoub in my future wife."
The 23-year-old stressed how essential it is for his future wife to "respect his work, stand by him through thick and thin and love him for Yacoub the man, not Yacoub the famous singer." Amen to that!
After triumphantly winning the fourth season of Arab Idol, some questioned whether Yacoub's win had anything to do with him being Palestinian, seeing as Mohammed Assaf won season 2 of the same show, which prompted some to claim that people wanted another Pali singer to claim the AI title.
However, the Bethlehem native's response to the speculations was:
"Palestinian art wasn't born with Mohammed Assaf or Yacoub Shaheen; it's been there for centuries, but the media has just made it more accessible and more easily-shared in today's world. The media gave Palestinians the chance to showcase their talent more easily."
What's next for the newly-crowned singer? A series of concerts in Sweden, which kicked off on 24 March and which will end on 16 April.
