We love us a good superheroine, and Kate Mara is leaving us on the edge of our seats to see if she's just as fantastic in a new film as she has been playing Sue Storm on Fox's "Fantastic Four".

The American actress is reportedly starring in "Megan Leavey", a true story turned into a cinematic production, according to Variety.com. The film is based on the life of an Iraq war veteran and her adopted bomb-sniffing dog Rex. Kate's character was on her second tour in Iraq when both canine and owner were wounded in a 2006 explosion.

The project will be directed by "Blackfish" maker Gabriela Cowperthwaite.

We can't help but wonder if the film will be shot somewhere in the region. With Abu Dhabi ranked among top filming destination in the world, we'd place our bets that Kate will be making her way to the UAE for the project, following in the footsteps of "Fast and Furious 7" and "Star Wars: Episode VII".
