Egyptian director Enas al Dughaidi is controversial alright; she ain't afraid to speak her mind; nobody tells the truth like she does, and she's a strong woman advocate, so it was quite surprising when she threw a fellow Egyptian woman under the bus this week.
In a frank interview with TV talk show "Al Motawahisha," Enas was asked for her opinion on the even more controversial and provocative dancer Sama el Masry. Her response? She wouldn't comment directly on her, but chose to tell a little story about Sama instead.
Enas said that once upon a time, one of Egypt's top figures was asked on why he would support a certain man that he had described as "corrupt," his response was that "some things can't be done by decent men, that's when dirty people are needed to execute them."
The "dirty" person he was referring to was Sama of course, which many social media users found perplexing as to why Enas would tell such a story when she's supposed to stand by her fellow women.
