How and why Ahlam's broken foot is still making headlines is beyond us.
But since Qatari Sheikha Hessa Bint Hamad Al Thani has decided to present Ahlam with a cake shaped as her broken foot, there's just no escaping the injured limb.
After the Emirati singer posted a video of the grotesque gateau on her Instagram account, some of her followers went bananas over it, deeming the cake as "inappropriate" and arguing that it shouldn't be shaped as someone's foot.
While most people couldn't digest the news - or stop arguing about it - a high-ranking Sheikh from Al Azhar decided to put his foot down and issue a fatwa on it.
The verdict? According to the Sheikh, who is the former Head of the Fatwa Committee at Al Azhar, it's totally fine and "halal" to eat the controversial cake!
Surely there are more important fatwas to issue?
