Rumors ran rampant earlier this week when Arabic headlines said Egyptian singer and actress Ruby got hitched. News outlets in Egypt said the controversial star had gotten married and claimed to know who her new hubby was after being told in an interview. Not so, Ruby says.

The 32-year-old Egyptian starlet said the interview, and all the dirt it claimed to dig up, was completely false. In fact, she says she never spoke to any member of the media about the matter. While she does admit to being married to someone involved in MENA entertainment publication Laha magazine, she's not giving anything up about who this guy is.

Ruby's been climbing the fame ladder in Egypt since her 2003 hit single, "Enta Aref Leih," Arabic for "Do you know why?" Since its recognition, she's produced two more full-length albums and starred in a number of films, including 2014's Dr. Who, and the much-contested "Saba' Wara'aat Kotcheena," (7 Playing Cards) which garnered regional attention and was even banned in several countries throughout the Middle East.

According to her WiKi page, previous rumors have also claimed Ms. Ruby is betrothed to her manager, Sherif Sarbri, but both have since denied the relationship.
