Netflix just released a trailer for their upcoming film - War Machine and fans in UAE are excited as Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah prominently feature in the upcoming Brad Pitt-starrer, which sees him in the boots of a US serviceman.

The film, which is set to release on Netflix on May 26, 2017 tells the story of a US general as he takes command of NATO forces in Afghanistan. Instead of shooting in the war-torn country, the movie shot in Abu Dhabi and Ras al Khaimah to get a similar feel and look. Some of the landmarks that feature in the movie include Hajar Mountains, a small village in RAK - used as a standup for an 'Afghan village'.

War Machine is a satire based on the book, The Operators by Michael Hastings. The bestseller documents the author's journey with General Stanley McChrystal during his tenure as the commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan. Pitt essays the role of McChrystal.

Shooting for the film wrapped up in December 2015.
