Filming of the first scenes for the upcoming television drama “Hamam Al Talat” is underway in 'Egypt Studios', marking Egyptian actress Wafa Makky’s comeback to the scenes.
Egyptian folk-singer Shabaan Abdul Rahim will costar alongside Wafa, marking his first appearance on the small screen. Shabaan has acted in one film and one play thus far.
Sources have revealed that retired Egyptian belly dancer Zizi Mustafa will also appear in the drama wearing a Hijab, the Islamic headdress for women.
Wafa has also requested a script for a new film telling her personal story of her time behind bars. The actress recently completed a three-year jail sentence for beating her servants, grooming her for the part.
Head of the Egyptian Actors Association, prominent actor Yousef Shabaan, confirmed that the association has renewed Wafa’s membership, granting her permission to return to the acting world after her long absence.
Wafa announced that she is in search of a new look and a new style to present to her audience upon her return, for it will give her confidence as she begins a new journey in her acting career.
