Prominent Egyptian actress Wafa Amer went through a very hard time lately after a crazy fan tried to break in her apartment leading her to hire a private bodyguard to accompany her wherever she stays and goes. Wafa had noticed this guy watching her and then she discovered that he lives next door, so she tried to call his family to convince him to leave her alone and the guy's mother told Wafa that her son is currently seeing a doctor because he is suffering from a mental illness.
Wafa thought that things were settled but one day she left her apartment for work and got this phone call from her mother telling her that the same guy is trying to break in the apartment looking for her. The police were called and the guy was immediately taken to prison.
Egyptian police had previously arrested the same man after receiving a report from actress Wafa’s mother accusing the guy of molesting her daughter on her way in and out of the house. Wafa’s mother claimed that the man has been stalking her daughter for some time now to the point of scaring her.
Police arrested 30-year-old Mohammed Tarek Najeeb, a sales representative, and lives in the apartment opposite to Wafa’s. Mohammad admitted that he likes Wafa a lot and he only wanted to express his interest by getting to know her better. The man was released after signing a restraining order prohibiting him from talking or getting close to the actress.
On a related context, Wafa is currently filming two TV dramas [Mala’eeb Shi7a] were she performs the role of Shajarat Al-Durr. The other drama is called [Al-Mil7 Wal Ard] with actor Mohammed Subhi.
Waffa' got married three years ago and has a boy called Omar but she is living with her mother permanently.
