ALBAWABA - American basketball player Lebron James is under fire across social media after a video circulated of him treating a young fan poorly after wanting to take a picture with him. He told the young fan to "Back the f*ck up" on camera.

The Los Angeles Lakers player was seen getting out of his car and ignoring the kid, then dancing toward a club while other fans cheered for him. Moreover, this all happened after James copped a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After the video was shared, fans of Lebron James took to platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their disappointment and anger towards the basketball player. A user stated that interactions like this are when people show their true colors.

"When things aren’t staged- you really see people for whom they are. James is not a good person."

The video in question was shared across X and garnered millions of views and thousands of likes making James trending on the platform but for the wrong reason.

A guy was heard in the background saying, "Make space for the king" which added salt to the injury since it wasn't received well either among social media users as they compared James to other famous basketball players including Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan, and the late Koby Bryant.

"And that's why he will never be as great as Michael."

"Hopefully that kid now knows that he should find a new hero."

"He’s no Kobe Bryant."

Other users claimed that Lebron James "hates white people" One person wrote, "He hates white people, fans or not. That’s pretty well known. A completely classless act," which another clapped back saying that this is more like an as*hole act, instead of a racist one."

According to USAB, James first participated in the Olympics in 2004 and won gold medals in 2008, 2012, and now 2024. Moreover, he's among the three American men including Anthony and Durant to appear four times at the Olympics.
