Egyptian director Ismael Hafez will begin this week shooting the series al Asdiqaa (Friends) based on the story of Karam al Naggar which was inspired from the real story of the Egyptian nuclear scientist Yehya al Mashad who was assassinated.
Costarring in the series to be produced by the Media Production City are Farouq al Fishawi, Salah al Saadani, Mustafa Fahmi, Safiyyah al Omari, Nermin al Fiqqi, Sawsan Bader, Hala Fakher, Simon, Gamil Rateb and Hamdi Ghaith.
The series theme was inspired from the assassination of the Egyptian nuclear scientist Yehya al Mashad through three friends. These include the nuclear scientist (Saadani), head of court (Fahmi) and boatman (al Fishawi) who are university student friends. After graduation each of the three friends paves his way in life as the first and second excel in their achievements. Ultimately they meet again when their colleague, the nuclear scientist faces a plight of being assassinated by the Israeli intelligence, al Mosad -- Albawaba.com
