ALBAWABA - Shock has dominated the artistic community after the sudden news that Syrian writer and TV host Subhy Otry died aged 48, ET Arabic announced.
In a post online, the ET Arabic team wrote: "In sad and devastating news for the ET Bil Arabi team and the Charisma Media Group, we mourn with deep sorrow and grief our dear colleague, Sobhi Atri. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. May God have mercy on Sobhi and grant us all patience and solace."
The reason behind his death has yet to be announced, however, it is worth noting that the TV host was not suffering from any illnesses before his death.

Syrian actress Dima Aljundi posted a picture on her Instagram along with the late Subhy Otry and wrote: "You were gone very soon, 'Boha', you told me there are loads of things you want to accomplish. May your soul rest in peace. May Allah have mercy on you, O Lord, and give us patience and your family and loved ones patience. How cruel is this life, and how difficult is this news. We will miss you a lot."
Lebanese actor Tony Issa commented on Dima's post, saying: "May God have mercy on him, what is this sad news 😢 he is in heaven."
Several other Arab celebrities, including Syrian star Nazli Al Rawas, Algerian actress Amal Bouchoucha, and Lebanese actress Sara Abi Kanaan, also mourned the death of Subhy Otry.
