Confirmed to ET Arabic a few days ago that the news about the Turkish Al-Qamar production company Ay Yapım's intention to speed up the preparation of the Al-Hiba series in Turkish was true. By rebranding it as "The Story of the Boras" rather than "The Storm."
It seems that Ibrahim Çelikkol, who is currently enjoying a vacation in Bodrum away from the stress of work in Istanbul, is being considered for the lead role in the Turkish series Al-Hiba by the producers of Ay Yapım. Çelikkol has not yet commented on the news.
"Al Hayba" a Lebanese series set in a town on the border between Lebanon and Syria, chronicles the lives of a family involved in weapons smuggling and centers on a complex love affair. Production on the series began in Turkey but was delayed for many years. It was once known as "The Storm," but that name was changed later on. Reporter Birsen Altuntaş said that the business chose to rebrand itself in honor of the Bora family.
Gulzar Ermak, who has written for several series like "Over Time, Call Me Hijran, Star of the Shepherd, Omar," will serve as screenwriter for the Mardin-based series. According to recent reports, the show is now working under the working title "The Story of the Bora Family."
The upcoming series, set to be directed by Ahmed Katxis (Suspicious Love, Flames, and Family), will depict the intense power struggle between the Al-Bura and Baybars families. Fans, particularly Arab ones, are eagerly discussing the casting of various characters on social media, particularly Tim Hassan (Jabal Sheikh Al-Jabal), Alia (Nadine Njeim's character from the first season), Mona Wassef (Nahed Omran, Jabal's mother), Owais Makhlalati, Abdo Shaheen, and others.
