Tunisian President honors Latifa

Tunisian singer Latifa has received a personal greeting from the Tunisian President Zein Al Abdeen Bin Ali congratulating her on winning the World Music Award. The president stressed in his letter that he is grateful to Latifa for loving her country and added that her presence at the awards ceremony was significant. 

 

According to the London based Elaph, the Tunisian Ambassador of Egypt held a grand celebration for Latifa in Cairo. During the big event the letter from the Tunisian President was read and the singer was honored with an award for her great achievements.  

 

On the same note, recently Latifa had also celebrated her Grammy Award in Beirut, which she won for her song [Ma Trohsh Be’eed] that was a hit in the Arab world. The celebration was held in Mandalon restaurant, and was attended by a large group of people from the media and entertainment world.  

 

Latifa voiced to the media "I am very happy to win this international prize and I would like to thank all the people who contributed in this victory, and I am also very grateful to all the Lebanese people who supported me all the way." At the end of the party Latifa sang to her fans a song entitled [Khalouni] in the Tunisian accent. -Albawaba.com
