Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has returned to the Arab world once again to shoot one of his upcoming blockbusters.
Having famously filmed parts of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" in Dubai over five years ago, the star has now jetted off to Morocco to begin shooting scenes for "The Mummy."
Cruise and his crew will film in several Moroccan cities, including Ouarzazate, Errachidia, Erfoud and Merzouga, between 20 June and 7 July.
The plot
The action-adventure horror film - directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spaihts - is a reboot of "The Mummy" franchise.
"Though safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia, and terrors that defy human comprehension," according to Universal Pictures.
Tom's co-stars
New Zealand actor Russell Crowe, English actress Annabelle Wallis, American actor Jake Johnson and Algerian actress Sofia Boutella.
Release date
The movie is set for a 9 June release in 2017.
