Thirty Egyptian writers join hands in a new drama series

Thirty Egyptian writers have come together in a joint work depicting the Palestinian Intifada (Uprising) and the current events in the region, in a new TV series. The new series “Akhbar Al Sa3a” (Round the Hour News) will consist of a total of twenty-four episodes each writer responsible for submitting a subject that revolves around the latest current events in the Arab and Western world. 

 

The Egyptian daily Al Gomhuria, added that each writer will also participate in the work by reading out his script as a news broadcaster. A large number of the episodes will revolve around the sufferings of the Palestinian people in their plight and strong stance against the Jews. Their courage to stand against the “Brutal Enemy” and their sufferings will be depicted. All the writers have decided to donate their wages for the victims of the Palestinian Intifada as a sign of compassion and support. 

 

Other issues in the series will cover a large scale of political events, sports, business, and entertainment news of concern to the Arab audience. The events that will be read out by the writers will be acted by a number of well-known actors who were chosen to be part of the series. Director Mohammad Hilmy has been nominated to direct the work, and the Egyptian Production Media City will produce it. -Albawaba.com
