Most celeb splits are shrouded in drama: public spats, hefty divorce settlements and even restraining orders are nothing new. So when Syrian actor, Tayem Hassan, spoke publicly about his ex-wife this week, people were expecting some star-quality mud slinging.
But rather than slam his former partner, shockingly Tayem defended her.
Their 10-year marriage might have come to an end last February but it seems Tayem still holds a flame for his ex-love, actress Dima Baya’a.
This week the star let it be known that he considers any insult aimed at the mother of his children as a personal attack on him.
He also took to Facebook to wish Dima a happy birthday, posting a photo onto her wall of the couple and their two sons enjoying happier times before the start of Syria’s bloody civil war.
With many of our favorite celebs carrying feuds with former loves into the New Year, perhaps they can learn a lesson or two from Tayem’s mature approach to break-ups.
