Lebanese singer Tania Saleh, who is known for her national songs, won an award for best album for the year 2002. The Arab Critics Association gave Tania the award at an event held in Dubai.
According to the London based Elaph, Tania's award is the first throughout her career and was produced by Music Master Record Company. The album consists of a collection of songs which are a blend of western rock and eastern folk and tunes.
Themes in the album vary targeting different social problems in the Lebanese society. The dilemma of immigration of most young Lebanese who seek opportunities outside their country, to problems the young generation faces within the society from social and peer pressure, are the main focus of Tania's songs.
Tania previously took part in a number of plays alongside Lebanese singer Ziad Rahbani, son of prominent Lebanese singer Fairous, of which were "Bikhsous Al Karameh Wal Sha'ib Al Aneed" (With Regards to Dignity and the Stubborn Nation) and "Wa Lao La Fasihit Al Amal" (If It Weren't for Hope).
