Young Egyptian singer/actor Tamer Husni has begun shooting the first scenes for his third film "Omar and Salma." Lebanese singer/actor Nicole Saba, Egyptian actor Mai Izz El Din, and Izzat Abu Ouf will star alongside Tamer.  The film is scheduled for release this summer season.

"Omar and Salma" is produced by Mohammad Al Sabki and there is a possibility the title will be changed to "Kul Thania Wi Inta Habibi" (Every Second and You Are My Love).

The film is directed by Akram Fareed and written by Ahmad Abdul Fatah, and filming will take place between Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh.

Tamer will appear as a wealthy man, a change from the characters he played in his previous two films, and he will perform at least three songs in the new drama.

On a different note, Tamer refused to participate in the awards ceremony for Egyptian actors and singers for the year 2005, which took place at the Nile Variety Television Network.

Rumors claim that Tamer refused to attend after he saw enormous posters of Egyptian singer Amr Diab plastered all over the network, since his relationship with Amr is on shaky grounds.

Tamer was to be presented with the award for ‘Best Male singer for 2005.’ He stated that the he was very proud to be chosen as best singer, and promises to always strive to present his best to his fans.
