Yes, Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny is a superstar, but apparently not so much in Tunisia!

The Tunisian press said that Hosny got a "slap in the face" with the failure of his recent concerts at the Tunisian Benzert and Safaqis International festivals.

According to Laha Magazine, news sources revealed that only 650 tickets were sold to Tamer's concert at Safaqis, where the concert hall can accommodate over 10 thousand people. While only 2500 out of 12 thousand tickets were sold for his Benzert concert! Ouch!

With the disastrous lack of ticket sales, Tamer's concerts caused a $35,000 loss at the Safaqis festival and a $23,000 loss at the Benzert festival.

The Tunisian press reported that Tamer took the shame of his failure back to Egypt after discovering that his popularity in Tunisia is very limited and insignificant.
