The film-set of the Syrian series “Zaman Al Barghouth” (In the Time of the Fleas) for director Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed, soon turned into a battle field, when a scuffle broke out between the two famous Syrian actors Salloum Haddad and Mustafa Al Khani. Things came close to descending into a fist fight, according to Kuwait's 'AL Anba’ Newspaper.
The two actors had a ruckus about their characters in the Syrian soap, which soon escalated into a slinging match of cursing in front of the whole cast. But for a last minute intervention that abated the heated disput, they came close to thrashing it out in a manly fist-fight brawl.
This tussle forced the director into a drawn out shooting, so that he shot each actor’s scenes separately before combining them later, until Mustafa AL Khani decided to withdraw entirely from the series. He was soon replaced by Mohamad Hadaqi who wasted no time, making up for time lost to the dramatic 'Syrian conflict' before getting on with the job and shooting his scenes.
Do you think this actor squabble might have been political or just a personality clash?
