Known around the world for her artistic creations, Syrian fashion designer Manal Ajaj invited her co-patriot actor Abdel Minem Amayri to come to Germany and direct her big fashion show for her in Berlin. Manal wanted Abdel to coordinate 13 fashion flashbacks from hundreds of years of Syrian history that lead up to the agony of current times their country is facing.

Unfortunately, those thought-out plans didn't go as desired when the star was banned from the country and unable to enter German soil, reports Laha Magazine.

Abdel admitted he wished could have attended the program in person, but despite the country's ban, the show must go on with him on board! His being banned from entering Germany for unknown reasons does not mean he cannot be the director for one of the most important fashion events that his country has taken part in.

"I directed the event even though I was far from the stage where it took place," he shared

The reasons he agreed to go ahead and direct the program were firstly that the theme is purely Syrian and represents his country in Europe, and secondly he appreciated that Manal had specifically chosen him among many other directors to direct the show.
