ALBAWABA - American actress Susan Sarandon was dismissed by her Hollywood agency United Talent Agency (UTA) for advocating for the people of Palestine at a pro-Palestinian rally in New York City.
The actress took to the streets in the protest and gave a full-on speech before hundreds of pro-Palestine people and said:
"I stand here with my cruelly given white privilege to say that you don't have to be Palestinian to stand with the Palestinian people.
You don't have to be Palestinian to understand that the slaughter of almost 5,000 children is unacceptable and a war crime."
Some users on X (formerly known as Twitter) said that the original reason she got sacked was because Susan Sarandon said that American Jews are getting a "taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim" which enraged Jew people all over the internet.

Others posted on X comments in defense of the actress and shamed UTA for their decision to sack someone because of their stance on the sensitive subject.
Former secretary for Bernie Sanders in 2020 Briahna Joy Gray said:
"Susan Sarandon is a deeply principled, brave, talented person, and time will humiliate her detractors.
This is a vile, disgusting move by UTA, who should be nothing but grateful to represent her."
What is happening in Palestine and Gaza?

Since the war on Gaza, millions of people around the world have taken to the streets in protest for the Palestinian people.
Palestine has been under the occupation of Israel since 1948 in what people call to this day, "Al Nakba" (The Catastrophe) resulting in countless deaths of the Palestinian people who are still suffering from the occupation to this day.
Hamas launched on Oct. 7, 2023, a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
The Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip capturing military bases and taking hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Hamas and Israel reached a 4-day truce in order to exchange 150 Palestinian prisoners with 50 Israeli hostages.
