Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab revealed that she is seriously thinking of going into the world of music to add a singing career to her acting profession. Summaya added that she has in fact begun choosing songs for her first album and is hopeful it will meet the satisfaction of people.
According to the London based Elaph, Summaya also announced that she has given her acceptance for a role in the new film, starring Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi, which is the first time the two costar alongside one another. Summaya recently returned from London after being on a vacation with her husband. The actress denied rumors that she had gotten a divorce and assured that she is happily married.
Recently, Summay had taken a short vacation from her acting career to supervise the interior decoration of her new palace, which her husband, an Arab prince whom she refuses to reveal his identity, has bought for her recently.
Summaya had spent the holidays with her husband in England and then returned to Egypt to follow up on the success her latest film “Bahibak Wi Ana Kaman” (I Love You Also) alongside Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar. The actress stressed that she wanted to take time off from work to ensure that her new palace is decorated in the most elegant manner and therefore she must supervise all the details.
Al Khashab has agreed to take part in the upcoming new film “Gambari” (Shrimp), which is a comedy film, and has already begun reading its script. The new film will mark Summaya’s return to the big screen after taking time off to participate in the television drama series “Al Haqiqa Wal Sarab” (Reality and Illusion).
The actress expressed that she was attracted to the story of the new film, which revolves around a young beautiful girl who works at a seafood restaurant and is exposed to harassment by male customers. The film falls in the comedy genre and humor is incorporated throughout its events, as the young girl discovers that the restaurant she is working in is only for male customers.
Summya was furious over the fact that her television series was not aired during the holy month of Ramadan, where television viewers are at peak. She added that it was a loss for all television viewers because it tackles very important social issues.
Recently, Al Khashab was shocked when she realized that her mobile phone was stolen, while attending a special occasion for one of her friends at a grand hotel in Egypt. The actress had left her phone on the table she was sitting at, and when she turned to make a phone call she realized it had disappeared.
Summaya became very distressed over the theft of her phone and not because of the value of the phone itself, but because she had so many important numbers saved in its memory.
