The spring season in Syria has another taste to it other than green leaves and nice breeze, it is also famous for the sound of cameras rolling shooting out door filming in the nice weather.
Production companies began work on many TV series, historical, comedy and social that deal with daily social problems in Arab communities. Al Sham production company for TV and Movie Production began shooting their new comedy entitled Qellet Zoa and Kathret Ghalab (Less Manners, More Troubles) to be directed by Hisham Sharbatji.
“The series is about a single parent with three children, their ant and her husband. The sister is trying to get her widower brother a wife but the children put obstacles to stop the marriage. The series aims at underlining the new generation interests and the problems of the Arab society and how to deal with local and Arab events,” the company media official, Hasan al Saleh told Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
Costarring in the series Omar Haju, Huda Shaarawi, Wafaa Mosselli and Riyad Shahrour.
Another Syrian series under production is Warda Li Kharif al Omer (a Rose for the Age of 50) directed by Yousef Rezeq and staring Muna Wasef, Asaad Fedda, Jihad Saad, Marah Jaber and Firas Ibrahim.
The drama talks about the widow of a rich man with power and how she inherited his cruelty and hate, but when her old love comes to town, everything changes.
A TV film is also under production entitled al Zawaj al Said (the Happy Marriage) which is about a married couple and their parents and the problems following their interference in their lives. Costarring in the film Hani al Rumani, Salim Kallas and Fadia Khattab.
The prominent director Najdat Anzur and actor Rashid Assaf are preparing for an upcoming historical series which depicts the life history of the Andalusi Khalifa Abdel Rahman al Dakhel who is called Saqr Quraish. The location of the new huge production will include Spain, Morocco and Syria – Albawaba.com
