The Syrian actress Solafah Mi’mar will star in the new television drama series “Ma Malakat Aymanakom” (Everything You Own), directed by the famous Syrian director Najdat Anzour and written by Dr. Halah Diab. Solafah plays the role of a young woman that wears a “Hijab” (Muslim women’s head cover) from a strict, religious family that resides in the heart of Damascus.
Solafah’s character wants to attend college to study English and to escape the pressure of her family. She is awarded a scholarship to study at a university in Paris, but her family refused to send her because there is no male person to accompany her. She marries a man that she does not have feeling for and travels with him to Paris.
In Paris she removes her “Hijab” and her marriage begins to fail, which leads her to fall in love with another man.
