Syrian actress Solaf Fawakhirji will be playing the role of the late Egyptian singer Asmahan in the television drama series “Asmahan”. Solaf got the role after a number of actresses and female singers were nominated for the role.
Producer Firas Ibrahim who works with the City Publication Production Company said that the drama series “Asmahan” lays out the life of the late singer Asmahan. The filming of the series will take place by the end of this year and will be showed on television when the next Ramadan roles around.
According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, the producer also adds that this role is a dream for every actress; therefore, many actresses tried their best to get the role. He also denies that the two famous sexy Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi and Nancy Ajram were previously nominated for the role.
