Tunisian superstar Saber Rebai was barraged with negative comments when a picture of him with an Israeli soldier made the rounds on social media this week.

Despite some of his loyal fans trying to defend their idol by claiming that the photo was fabricated, Saber stepped forward with an explanation to set the record straight once and for all.
The issue was clarified with a statement on Saber's official Facebook page on Monday night.
According to the singer, the soldier in question is a Palestinian officer named Hadi, who works at the Kerem Shalom border crossing between Jordan and Palestine.
The singer explained that Hadi was the "middle man" who organized Saber and his team's visit from Jordan to Palestine, in order to not have to deal with any Israelis in the process.
Saber was in Palestine on Friday 18 August, where he held a grand concert at Rawabi city in the West Bank.
As for those in doubt, Saber pointed out that Hadi wasn't wearing the Israeli flag on his military uniform.
"I'm not so stupid to have my picture taken with an Israeli soldier. That's as stupid as an accusation can get and really patronising," he said.
See? He's even pictured with the Palestinian Prime Minister here:
You can all breathe a sigh of relief now.
