Singer and actress Sherine's TV series Tariqi (My Road), which screened during Ramadan, has been translated into Spanish for Columbian TV.

The interaction between Columbian and Egyptian TV is the first of its kind. Sherine, who shared the promo of the Spanish version on her Facebook page, said it marks a further triumph for the series after its success in Egypt.

Basel Khayat, Sawsan Badr, Ahmed Fahmy and Mohamed Adel all co-star in Tariqi, which was directed by Mohamed Shaker Khodair.

The series, written by Tamer Habib, resembles Sherine’s own life story, but is not considered biographical because of the many differences.

Sherine, foremost a singer, has sold millions of albums. She also coached in the Arab edition of smash hit TV show The Voice.
