Tunisian singer, Maliha announced earlier this week that she would be moving to live in Lebanon after so many problems she faced in Egypt, according to the Qatari daily al Raya.
Maliha, who chose Egypt to be the country marking the start of her music career, has dealt with several difficulties forcing her to leave the country and search for another opportunity in Lebanon.
"Unfortunately, I discovered that some music production companies are kind of Mafia. They work on abusing the singer from the beginning without leaving any space for the talent to show," Maliha said when asked about the reason behind leaving Egypt.
Maliha's music career didn't pick up to become known in the Arab world until she sang "Lamuni illi Gharu Minni" (Blamed by Jealous People) at the same time Tunisian singer Lutfi Bushnaq sang it.
On another tone, and in a joint Egyptian-Tunisian production, Lutfi Bushnaq has finally agreed on releasing a new album entitled "Long Live Peace". The album will include a number of songs depicting the current developments in the Middle East and the struggle of our Palestinian brothers. All proceeds will be donated in solidarity with the Palestinian People. - Albawaba.com
