In a video that she posted on her Instagram, the 50-year-old said, "I am so sorry that I caused pain." "You guys are gems, especially in my LGBTQIA+ community." The world is a better place because of you. I will not give up because you have improved my life.
During the inauguration, Jewel sang at a celebration in honor of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
"I'm really sorry, and it hurts me," she remarked. Some of my devoted followers think I failed them. Being a light in this world is what I aspire to. I make a sincere effort to be a light in your lives because I understand that we need to become more light in the dark. Therefore, I'll get up tomorrow and try again, and I'll rely on every one of you to follow suit. I adore and respect each and every one of you.
Jewel claimed that her support of mental health was one of the reasons she sang at the event.
"I would never leave the bench if I wanted to until I was completely in agreement with the people who might be willing to help me," she stated. "I don't believe that waiting until everything is ideal before getting involved is how activism operates. Actually, we need to figure out how to participate, given the inherent flaws in the system. We must take action immediately. Waiting another four years is not an option.

"If I can help shape policy, make sure mental health is in the conversation," she continued, adding that she does not "agree on all the politics." I'm willing to fight if I can assist in providing resources or mental health tools to those who are most in need.
"And I realize that what I said was too basic," she added. "I respect the fact that half of our nation is experiencing hope at the moment. Furthermore, it is intolerable that half of our nation feels disenfranchised, afraid, and unprotected.
